Flow Over All

lumpyturnips asked: Describe to me your ideal set of poi. It's okay if they don't fit into the confines of modern reality :)

Okay, well lets start with this. The poi heads would float, and they would react to a combination of your arm and body movements (like normal) but also your mind. It wouldn’t be cheating because you’d have to build your skills with them up from the ground just like with any flow art and controlling stuff with your mind is difficult. These poi would have lights that have settings for reacting to the music (and it would react in a really intense way, not just to beat, tempo, volume and all that, but also with what the song is saying, emotional value, and climax) and for mental control. Despite the fact that there are lights on it, there would also be fire modes (of course), including colored flames, strobing flames, and flame jets. Then there would probably be a mode where it surrounds itself with water which trails behind it and reflects the lights everywhere. I dunno if these will fit into the confines of any reality, modern, past, future, alternate, or otherwise, but a man can dream, can’t he? xD
